with the best in the world, the Emergency Response team is ready
and able to tackle any emergency at any of the major chemical
locations across Teesside.
Equipped with what is considered to be the best available industrial
fire fighting hardware in the world, including the impressive
E - One Fire Tender and "Six Gun" foam cannon from
the United States, the team has the opportunity to apply 75
tonnes of foam solution per minute on to a fire or chemical
release.
Asset Protection offers a 'One-Stop-Shop' approach which means
customers in emergency situations have access to our extended
package of services, including ambulance technicians, trained
in the latest paramedic skills, shift chemist 24 hour environmental
incident monitoring and support in handling media and community
inquiries. For incidents involving chemicals in transit the
asset protection team maintains an External Chemical Emergency
Service (ECES) providing product, technical and practical support.
The asset protection team also controls the gatehouses around
the site and provides security checks on-site to deter thieves
and intruders.
The team can also provide fire, breathing apparatus and emergency
planning training.
